Seriously, this album is so far ahead of it's time that you might think Anti-Pop Consortium is from the future. Crazy synth beats with original lyrics make this album one of the top 5 hip hop albums of /5(8).

This was the heyday of creative, word-slaying, poetically charged underground rap from artists as sonically gifted as Kool Keith, Mike Ladd, Company Flow and on the west coast, artists such as Latyrx. So I was excited to finally get my hands on Anti pop's seminal masterpiece, Tragic Epilogue. It was everything I had hoped for.4/5(15).

  6. Antipop Consortium is one of the most inventive underground hip hop crews in the early 's. The Consortium was formed in fall to turn the commercial Hip Hop scene on its head. It consisted of the three vocalists (Beans, High Priest and M. Sayyid) which come from the New York street poetry scene and producer Earl Blaize in the background.
